Come join the Business Online Services (BOS) team to build a BI/CI analytics system to deliver key KPIs to drive our business and change how we sell online services to businesses. Our team will power the Analytics behind the Microsoft Online product line.
We are looking for a self-driven, passionate and experienced Engineer to design and implement the data warehouse, cube & reports. Ideal candidate has broad exposure to Microsoft Business Intelligence technology stack; previous experience designing and implementing large data warehouses with large volumes of data is required. Candidate should demonstrate exceptional database and ETL design, and be proficient in common data warehouse principles.
Primary Responsibilities include: - Design and implement data warehouse and Cube structures including the processes to load them. - Generate complex calculated cube measures using MDX. - Work closely with product teams in understanding the data feeds. - Translate business needs and guide the technical team to formulate the overall architecture - Design, development and maintenance of standard reporting infrastructure and processes to meet changing business needs.
REQUIRED qualifications include: - 4 years work related experience - Enterprise Data architecture, data integration patterns; design, implementation, and operations experience. - Strong practical experience with SQL Server SQL Analysis Service (SSAS), Integration Service (SSIS), SQL Reporting Services (SSRS) and related technologies (e.g. experience writing complex T-SQL and MDX queries). - Ability to work within product teams and across product groups - Strong communication, critical thinking and problem solving skills - Ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment - A proven track record for shipping quality software on time - Passion for engineering excellence, learning, advancement and mentoring others on the team - Good communication skills
